C. Bruce Hamburg, who is a registered U.S. patent attorney, handles all aspects of U.S.
patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, unfair competition and Internet law. Mr. Hamburg
has handled the filing and prosecution of thousands of patent and trademark applications.

He is also registered as a patent attorney in Canada and files and prosecutes applications in Canada through a Canadian associate. (Some foreign associates entrust Mr. Hamburg with filing, maintaining and prosecuting counterpart Canadian and U.S. patent applications
because it is efficient to have the Canadian prosecution mirror the U.S. prosecution.)

Mr. Hamburg has guided patent, trademark and copyright litigation by the firm. He has
rendered many formal opinions and counseled clients regarding routine and complex intellectual property matters. He also has negotiated and drafted license agreements.

He began his career as an examiner in the U.S. Patent Office, where he received
Superior Performance Awards.

While his primary activity has been actively practicing law, which he continues
on a daily basis, he has also taken the time, at times with assistance of other attorneys in the firm, to author a treatise “Patent Fraud and Inequitable Conduct” and treatises entitled “The Doctrine of Equivalents in the U.S.”, one edition published in Japanese and a subsequent edition published in Korean.

Mr. Hamburg is an author or co-author of several annual editions of the “Patent Law Handbook”. He is also the U.S. representative for the periodical, “Patents and Licensing.” Mr. Hamburg has also been a contributor to that periodical as well as a number of other periodicals dealing with patent and trademark law.

Mr. Hamburg is a member of many of the major intellectual property organizations, including AIPLA, NYIPLA, AIPPI, FICPI, INTA and LES. He has lectured numerous times in Japan and Korea.

A more detailed, though not comprehensive, recitation of Mr. Hamburg’s publications can be found in the “Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory”, where Mr. Hamburg has enjoyed the top rating (“av”) for many years.

Mr. Hamburg emphasizes that what he enjoys most and primarily devotes his energy to is the day to day activities of a patent attorney who is also knowledgeable and experienced in other intellectual property law areas. He also finds that his periodic forays into writing for publication and lecturing help keep him up to date.
